Of all the bands in U2's wake coming out of Dublin, Cactus World News was the best, and "The Bridge" better than most of U2's output. Anthemic Rock, baby:

Of the Irish, I'd love to see Stiff Little Fingers. Those guys are kewel.
I saw U2 back in 1983 when they were awesome, first show of the War tour in Chapel Hill, NC, USA. Bono in a thunderstorm, scampering around on the sound equipment.
And then there were the Pogues, Brixton Academy. Fanfreakingdrunkentastic!
