One of the great existential films dressed up as a hyper-car chase placebo, Vanishing Point is easily a mortal lock in my top 10 films of all-time.
Barry Newman as Kowalski never had the acting chops as Jack Nicholson but like Gergory Peck as Atticus Finch in "To Kill A Mockingbird", nobody else could have played Kowalkski as the Everyman Extistential Hero better. Cleavon Little as Super Soul is The Truth, and should have gotten him an Acadamy Award Nomintation. And of course, there's that bad-ass 1970 White Dodge Challenger...
